Job Summary:
The Region Sales & Marketing Director (RSMD) is primarily responsible for overall region growth. The RSMD leads their team of Area Sales Managers and Account Managers to drive new sales and retain existing customers for their region. The RSMD is responsible for all sales and marketing training and strategy implementation for their assigned region. The RSMD has the leadership skills to successfully work with the Area Directors and Area Sales Managers to manage the customer growth and retention activities that will achieve or exceed targeted growth goals. Works with Marketing and other RSMDs to create and implement consistent strategies and standards across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Growth Direct responsibility for the overall profitable customer growth through sales and retention for the commercial and residential segments throughout the Region.
Marketing Responsible for the implementation of corporate and regional marketing programs. Participates in the design of AmeriGas's Marketing strategy with Marketing Product Managers and the Director of Marketing on an ongoing basis.
Customer Service Responsible for sales training of sales team. Oversees Net Promoter Score (NPS) improvement activities. Handles significant customer service issues or complaints with AD and OVP when necessary.
Sales Operations Team Results Has a direct line to all Area Sales Mangers (ASMs) within their region. This includes hiring, training, setting growth and retention targets and evaluating performance up to and including discipline and termination. In conjunction with OVP sets Area growth and retention goals for the region. Total Sales Profit targets range from $3.5MM to $10+MM depending on the region. Significant discretion to formulate and execute sales and marketing strategies within region
Sales Force Development Routinely interacts with ASMs to review all matters pertinent to the development of each member of their regions sales force to perform at maximum effectiveness. (Additionally, interacts with the Director of Sales to review all matters pertinent to the development of each Area Sales Manager and other members of their regions sales force to perform at maximum effectiveness.)
Communications Ensures OVP is informed of significant matters and takes corrective action or recommends alternative courses of action, as appropriate. Ensures open communication between Area Sales Manager, Area Director and operations by conducting site visits, hosting sales meetings including field operations managers to improve understanding.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Position requires executive level of demonstrated sales leadership, communications, coaching and development skills in sales, people development and team effectiveness skills.
Must have good organizational skills and follow up ability.
Education and Experience Required:
Degree in Business or equivalent experience required.
Experience in Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing.
Supervision of Others:
All Area Sales Managers in their region.
Region Marketing Manager.
Second level responsibility for region account managers.
Impact:
Under Operations Vice Presidents, they have major impact on sales, profits, sales strategy, pricing policy; sales force budgets and directing the sales team within region.
Travel:
May travel up to 75% of the time

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
