Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary:
You will contribute to the development and management of Distribution, (Receiving, inventory, picking and shipping) strategies. You will lead action in support of these strategies and directs employees as necessary. Adheres to established distribution targets and/or shipping TAT for site specific shipments. Develops and manages a program for meeting targets and improving distribution performance in support of the business goals of quality, cost, and delivery. Responsible for employee overall performance including selection, training, and development of associates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets strategic direction as required by working with Management and other Supply Chain functions and departments.
Meet or exceed established quality, cost and delivery objectives that support Verifone goals. Develops and manages programs and assigned employees to meet these objectives.
Coaches, develops, and manages programs to meet objectives, defining and implementing methods for measuring performance
Creates tools and communication paths for organizational goals.
Trains and develops employees, ensuring Verifone objectives and policies are practiced.
Maintains safety/environmental standards and security measures consistent with Verifone polices.
Selects, trains, appraises performance, and administrates salaries of reporting employees; determines assignments and changes employee status in accordance with Verifone policies.
Understands customer needs and ensures workflow meets the requirements of customers (internal and external).
Knowledge & Experience:
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 5+ years supervision required.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and work effectively with other departments/organizations.
Proficient in the application of the systemic process/project improvement methodologies.
Duties Common to Management.
Communicate corporate direction and objectives to staff.
Define staffing levels and identify talented candidates for potential hire.
Manage performance through setting objectives, providing performance feedback/coaching and evaluation.
Motivate employees to over-achieve and correct performance problems.
Develop staff skills and abilities to meet business needs.
Actively support company programs and ensure adherence to company rules and procedures.
Administer compensation actions within company guidelines.
Monitor Assigned Budget and Meet Financial Objectives

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
