As an Ortho RDA, you will play a vital role in assisting the orthodontist during patient procedures and providing excellent patient care.
Your knowledge of dental/orthodontic procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment will contribute to the overall success of our dental practice.
Responsibilities - Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Skills To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures, and terminology - Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred - Proficiency in medical coding and documentation - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, such as digital radiography - Understanding of anatomy and oral health conditions - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality - Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols If you are a dedicated Ortho RDA with a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we would love to hear from you.
