Responsibilities:
Lead and execute monthly close accounting for several general ledger functions and business segmentsCalculate and record entries for revenue, inventory, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, and accrualsReconcile and/or roll-forward balance sheet accountsServe as the business unit subject matter expert for general accounting processes, complex accounting solutions, and provide training and guidance to junior staff where neededAssist with the review and processing of bi-weekly multi-state payrollsAssist with the processing and recording of daily transactions, accounts payable and revenue recognitionContribute to efforts to develop and implement policies and procedures that streamline accounting processesCollaborate with management, department personnel, and cross-functional teams on general ledger accounting issuesProvide outstanding customer service to internal and external customersContribute to year-end filings, audit, and tax preparation by providing requested documentation and analysisManage special projects and provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA or public accounting experience preferredTwo to four years of relevant accounting work experience requiredExperience in Manufacturing and Construction industries preferred Multi entity experience preferred Strong foundation in general accounting, monthly close, financial reporting and GAAP conceptsProficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and OutlookProficient advanced Excel skills (Vlookup's, pivot tables, etc) to manage large volumes of dataNetSuite experience a plus Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environmentSuperior analytical, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to pay strict attention to detail, with a commitment to deliver quality and accurate work products on a timely basisAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesInterested in hearing more?
